Gedcom Publisher is a unique e-book publishing tool. It creates an e-book that includes information generated from GEDCOM data mixed with content that you provide, including text, images, and other content.
What You Need
Gedcom Publisher requires a GEDCOM file. It supports GEDCOM v5.5+ files from any genealogy program, but has special handling for GEDCOM files written by Family Historian, Family Tree Maker, Legacy, and RootsMagic. It will also read the project database from The Master Genealogist (TMG) v9.04+.
To review e-books you create with Gedcom Publisher, you'll need an e-reader program. See the External Tools page for recommendations.
Gedcom Publisher is a Microsoft Windows program designed to work with Windows 10 and 11. Gedcom Publisher should work with Windows 7, but it is no longer tested under that operating system. Some Macintosh users run Parallels or other virtualization software so they can run MS Windows and use Gedcom Publisher with their Macintosh-based genealogy programs.
Please see the Examples page for links to some books created by Gedcom Publisher.
