Overview

This section includes the strings Gedcom Publisher uses when converting parent relationship codes to labels used in the output.

Each of the properties represents a code used in the genealogy data. The code is standardized during the import process. For each code, there are six labels separated by the || symbols. Gedcom Publisher chooses which label to use based on whether a parent or child label is required and the gender of the person.

There are three labels for parents (father, mother, parent) and three labels for children (son, daughter, child). The parent and child entries are used when the gender of the parent or child is unknown.

The form of each value is:

father || mother || parent || son || daughter || child
